Niagara Legacy Council's Opening Ceremonies Weekend
It looks like the NLC's Opening Ceremonies Weekend is going with a blast - although the weather seems to be threatening the finale this evening. Our flyers were out for the first time and we hope there were plenty of takers - we'll find out over the next few weeks as the pre-order registrations start to come in.

Brock by Brock goes transatlantic.
Oliver Brock will be travelling to Canada to join the bicentenary celebrations. The founder of Brock by Brock and the designer of the commemorative coin will be following a hectic schedule as he flies into Pearson on June 21st.
After visiting the Friends of Tecumseh Memorial Park on Thursday and viewing the site for their new open air monument he'll be laying a wreath from the people of Guernsey at the grave of Tecumseh on Walpole Island with Chief Gilbert of the Shawnee Nation on Friday 22nd.
Saturday sees Brock visit the Lincoln and Welland Regiments Armouries, Fort George and the Brock Monument at Queenston Heights, followed by a Guest appearance at the Canadian International Military Tattoo in Hamilton on Saturday evening. He's been asked to deliver a message from the Bailiff of Guernsey to the assembled audience at the Tattoo, on both the Saturday evening and the Sunday afternoon performances.
On Monday he'll be travelling to the Bay of Quinte to visit the Mohawk Nation at Tyendinaga and Chief Maracle. The Mohawk Nation were essential to the defence of the Canadas and Sir Isaac Brock was instrumental in developing relations with the Indian warriors.
Tuesday sees Oliver meet up with Adrienne Alison in Toronto to review progress with the Guernsey's own memorial to the great man; a wonderful new statue to be erected in St Peter Port, Guernsey.
Brock is also hoping to be granted an audience with the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario at Queen's Park to share anecdotes about the man that left this island home to become 'The Hero f Upper Canada'.
